Hydropower plants differ largely depending on the topography and the resulting plant components. In mountainous terrain, highhead plants of different sizes are designed as required by the specific conditions and requirements encountered. Our scope of services covers the complete array of power plant sizes from drinking water power plants through small and medium-size plants to large-scale power plants with reservoirs.
In areas, where high head is not available, electric generation plants are built on rivers applying the low-head, high-flow principle. They are designed as small- and large-scale schemes, depending on the specific needs and conditions.
Pumped storage is a special type of power plant, which can convert inexpensive base load power into profitable peak load power.
